The Team

A&O Shearman's Advanced Delivery Legal (ADL) team play an increasing role in delivering important elements of major litigation cases and transactions, as well as in coordinating teams of lawyers from around the world. ADL is a key part of A&O Shearman's advanced delivery of legal services to its clients, making intelligent use of technology and complementing the traditional law services provided by A&O Shearman throughout the world. The ADL Belfast team includes specialists with expertise across Disputes, Corporate, Global Financial Markets, Real Estate, & Banking.

The Role

The nature of A&O Shearman's work is increasingly advanced and multi-jurisdictional. Our Disputes team comprises of high-quality, tech-enabled associates and legal professionals. They work on large scale document reviews, working with offices across the global network on client matters supporting multiple practice groups.



We are seeking Legal Professionals to join the growing Disputes team in Belfast.

What you will do

Document review Due diligence exercises (primarily extracting information) Company searches Joining product group-specific teams, e.g. company incorporations and ICM checklists Legal research Becoming proficient in Litigation e-Discovery platforms Working with Legal Technology generally - testing/trialling tools and pipeline technology

What you will have

Qualifying law degree. Legal experience within Disputes or legal document review is desirable but not essential. A professional manner with high levels of commercial awareness, analytical skills and critical thinking. Detail-focused with good attention to detail and ability to review large sets of documentation. Team player with strong communication skills. Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
