McKervill Neilly Solicitors is a busy general law practice in Ballymena. We cater for a wide range of our clients' personal and commercial legal requirements across Northern Ireland.
Due to the continued growth of the firm we are seeking to expand our team, which benefits from a stable supportive environment.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Working closely with solicitors in the conveyancing, wills and probate departments.
Opening and closing files and working within the firm's case management system.
Transcription and typing of letters, emails, file notes, and other legal documentation with Microsoft Office software.
Keeping files under review and up-to-date.
Making and receiving phone calls and liaising with clients, agents and other solicitors.
Arranging solicitor- client appointments.
Proof-reading draft documents.
Supporting fellow clerical staff during busy periods.

This is a permanent position and although is advertised as a full-time position, applications from legal secretaries who wish to work part time will also be considered.

About you:
Previous experience as a legal secretary, particularly in conveyancing or probate, will be advantageous. However, exceptional candidates showing an enthusiasm to develop in the role will not be discounted.
You will be proficient in MS Outlook, Excel and Word
You must take pride in your work, have a high degree of accuracy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
You will work effectively in a team but will also demonstrate a willingness to use your initiative.

Pay: 13.50-14.75 per hour
