The Role
We now have an opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Private Client team, based in Berkhamsted. This role will see the secretary being the right hand support for one of our fee earners, supporting across a number of activities. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a supportive, professional environment where attention to detail and client service are paramount.
Whilst the Private Client Team operates from both our Luton and Berkhamsted offices and is ranked Tier 2 in legal 500, this opportunity is in our Berkhamsted office. Your responsibilities will include a range of administrative matters including wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney, and estate administration, as well as liaising directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to solicitors in the Private Client department.
Preparing, formatting, and amending legal documents including wills, powers of attorney, and trust deeds.
Managing correspondence, telephone calls, and diary appointments.
Liaising with clients and third parties in a professional and confidential manner.
Assisting with file management, billing, and compliance processes.
About You
Previous secretarial experience, preferably within Legal Service and ideally within Private Client is desirable.
Strong typing (minimum 50wpm) and document production skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A friendly, professional manner and a genuine commitment to client care.
Personal pride in the quality of their work which should be to a high standard and delivered within the required timeframes
