, to provide secretarial and administrative support to the wider team and department.
The Private Client team deals with all aspects of estate administration, including drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney and Declarations of Trust. We are looking for someone with fantastic organisational skills who can juggle a wide variety of tasks, enjoys providing outstanding client service with an eye for detail, whilst ensuring compliance with Lexcel, internal compliance and AML rules. The workload will be varied and will require the ability to prioritise, be proactive, be a team player, and be financially focussed.
The role
On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be involved in:
Opening files on our case management system, undertaking compliance checks including online ID checks, adding initial information and following up as necessary.
Drafting letters and documents on instruction.
Taking telephone messages and ensuring full attendance notes prepared and fee earners notified of work undertaken.
Assisting clients with basic forms or obtaining further information and instructions.
Adding information to Will writing and Accounts software.
Audio typing, scanning and filing documents.
Preparing bills, payments and distributions and following all accounts procedures.
Updating clients and liaising with organisations.
Requesting deeds and documents from archives for fee earners and clients and ensuring excellent records are taken.
Taking initial calls from clients, diary management and arranging appointments.
Assisting with reception duties and any other general office administration when required.
You will also be encouraged to get involved with marketing and business development activities on behalf of the department which will include adding details of contacts to our internal database, requesting reviews and promoting our services to clients.

The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4 or above).
Have experience in a Practice Management System, Outlook, Docusign, Isokon and Arken.
Have previous experience working in private client.
Have experience of audio typing, managing at least 60wpm and be familiar with digital dictation.
Be IT literate with experience in Word, Excel and Outlook
Have an excellent telephone manner.
Be organised and motivated.
Have great attention to detail and able to work independently.
An accounts background would be desirable.
Location and working hours
Full-time (office hours are 9am - 5.15pm, Monday to Friday) but we will consider part-time applicants.
The role is based at our North Street office in Bedminster, but with the option to apply for hybrid working upon successful completion of your probation.
