Legal Secretary - Remote / Home-Based | Full or Part-Time (3-5 days per week) | 25,000 - 30,000 per annum (Pro-rata for part-time)

A boutique family law firm based in Essex is dedicated to providing expert legal guidance with compassion and care. They support individuals through some of the most challenging times in their lives, ensuring they receive not only strong legal representation but also the understanding and empathy they need.

They're looking for a Legal Secretary to join their friendly team to play a key role in supporting our solicitors, managing cases, and ensuring clients receive an efficient and responsive service. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced legal administrator who wants to work flexibly in a fully remote role while still being part of a close-knit, supportive team.

The Role



Diary & case management - Scheduling meetings, managing diaries for solicitors, and tracking key deadlines.

Client communication - Responding to client enquiries, drafting and sending client case letters, and managing the client onboarding process.

Legal document preparation - Preparing Client Care letters, drafting and editing templates, setting up court forms, collating and preparing court bundles, and ensuring client documents are organised within our case management system.

Administrative support - Setting up matters, managing case files, organising client documents received, sending correspondence to opponents, and following up on outstanding funds.

About You



At least 2 years of legal administrative experience (family law preferred but not essential).

Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Confident telephone manner and the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.

Proficient in legal case management software (such as CLIO) and generally strong IT skills (preferably experience in Microsoft suite and Adobe Pro), comfortable working in a paperless environment.

Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently in a remote setting.

UK-based and within 1 hour's commute of Chelmsford for occasional meet-ups.
