Commercial Property Legal Secretary - Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Commercial Property Team, ensuring the smooth running of daily operations. Assist in the preparation, formatting, and management of legal documents, contracts, and correspondence relating to commercial property transactions. Liaise effectively with clients, solicitors, agents, lenders, and other stakeholders, maintaining a professional and informative manner at all times. Manage electronic and paper filing systems, diary management, and coordination of meetings and property completions. Undertake accurate data entry on the firm's case management system, ensuring compliance with legal standards and confidentiality. Assist with searches, Land Registry applications, SDLT submissions, and related property transactional work as required. Handle telephone and email enquiries promptly, demonstrating outstanding client care and attention to detail. Support fee earners with any additional administrative and operational requirements to optimise workflow and productivity.

Legal Secretary - Commercial Property: Essential Skills & Experience

At least 6 months experience in a legal secretary, legal assistant, or legal administration role, ideally within a property or commercial law environment. High level of proficiency in MS Office and legal case management systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organisational ability with the capacity to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. Meticulous attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, and professionalism in all interactions. Resilient, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced commercial property team. Recognises the importance of confidentiality, compliance, and data protection within legal processes.
