Duties
Drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail
Managing and organising legal files, case documentation, and client records
Audio typing of dictations, legal briefs, and other documents using specialised software
Scheduling appointments, and meetings while coordinating with clients and external agencies
Utilising Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) to prepare reports, presentations, and spreadsheets
Handling incoming calls and correspondence with excellent communication skills
Assisting with IT-related tasks such as maintaining computer systems and troubleshooting basic issues
Managing time effectively to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ensuring compliance with confidentiality protocols at all times
Qualifications
Proven administrative experience, preferably within a legal setting or similar professional environment
Strong audio typing skills with high accuracy and speed
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Effective communication skills both written and verbal
Good IT literacy with the ability to adapt to new software or systems quickly
Strong time management skills to meet deadlines consistently
Previous experience in legal secretarial work is desirable; training will be provided for specific legal procedures if required
Precious experience in conveyancing is welcomed
