Responsibilities
Prepare and type legal documents, correspondence, and reports with accuracy and efficiency using audio typing and Microsoft Word.
Manage and organise legal files, documents, and case materials in accordance with confidentiality standards.
Schedule appointments and meetings; coordinate with clients and external agencies as required.
Maintain and update client records using Microsoft Outlook and Excel; ensure all information is current and correctly filed.
Assist in drafting presentations or reports using Microsoft PowerPoint for internal or client meetings.
Handle incoming calls, emails, and other correspondence professionally, ensuring prompt responses.
Support the legal team with administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, filing, and document management.
Utilise IT skills to troubleshoot basic technical issues related to office equipment or software applications.
Manage time effectively to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines consistently.
Experience
Previous administrative experience within a legal setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks such as audio typing.
Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills--both written and verbal--to liaise effectively with colleagues, clients, and external agencies.
Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks independently.
