We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. Duties
Prepare and format legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, and contracts using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Conduct audio typing to transcribe dictations accurately and efficiently.
Maintain and organise files, both electronic and paper-based, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
Manage calendars and schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates using Outlook.
Assist with the preparation of case files for hearings and trials, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
Communicate with clients, courts, and other legal professionals in a professional manner.
Perform general office duties such as answering phones, managing correspondence, and ordering supplies as needed.
Experience
Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a legal environment is preferred.
Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) are essential.
Excellent audio typing skills are highly desirable.
Demonstrated time management abilities with a focus on prioritising tasks effectively.
Exceptional organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy office setting.
