We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Legal Secretary, in various locations across Norfolk and Cambridgeshire to provide comprehensive administrative support within our Family team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing correspondence, preparing legal documents, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail to contribute to a professional legal environment.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports with accuracy and attention to detail
Perform audio typing of dictations and legal proceedings in a timely manner
Manage calendars, appointments, and deadlines to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently
Organise and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical, ensuring easy retrieval of documents
Liaise effectively with clients, court officials, and internal teams via written communication and phone calls
Utilise Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) to prepare presentations, spreadsheets, and correspondence
Support the legal team with IT-related tasks as required to ensure smooth workflow
Skills
Proven administrative experience within a professional environment, ideally within legal or similar sectors
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in audio typing with high accuracy and speed
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
Good IT literacy to troubleshoot basic technical issues when necessary
Exceptional time management skills to meet tight deadlines consistently
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with minimal supervision
