We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our dynamic Litigation team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to legal professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice. This role requires excellent organisational skills, proficiency in various software applications, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative support to solicitors and legal teams.
Manage and organise files, documents, and correspondence efficiently.
Prepare legal documents, including electronic bundles, contracts, and reports.
Conduct audio typing of legal documents and correspondence.
Maintain an organised calendar for appointments, meetings, and deadlines.
Communicate effectively with clients, responding to inquiries and providing updates on case progress.
Utilise Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document preparation and data management.
Assist in the management of case files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
Coordinate meetings and liaise with external parties as required.
Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other IT applications.
Use of the Court Portal
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience in audio typing is highly desirable.
Effective time management skills to meet deadlines consistently.
Previous experience in a legal environment is essential.
