We are looking for an experienced and proactive

Legal Secretary

to join our

Residential Property

team in

Luton

. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive, fast-paced legal environment, providing essential administrative support to conveyancing fee earners.

Responsibilities:



Provide secretarial and administrative support in a busy residential property department Prepare legal documents including contracts, transfers, and completion statements Handle incoming and outgoing client communications by phone, email, and in person Order and review Land Registry searches, local authority searches, and prepare search bundles Order mortgage offers, assist with reporting to clients and lenders, and support mortgage completions Submit SDLT forms and assist with post-completion matters Manage case files, input data into case management systems, and maintain accurate records Organise diaries, schedule appointments, and support billing and file closures Liaise with clients, solicitors, mortgage lenders, estate agents, and other third parties Perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, and managing post

Requirements:



Minimum 1-2 years' experience as a Legal Secretary in Residential Conveyancing

Solid understanding of the conveyancing process, including searches and mortgage documentation Strong administrative, organisational, and time-management skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy under pressure Confident communication skills - both written and verbal Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with case management software Able to work independently and as part of a team Professional, friendly, and client-focused approach

Pay: 21,022.33-24,000.00 per year
