We are seeking a proactive and professional Legal Secretary to join our busy Wills and Probate Department in Oldham. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a senior fee earner with a full caseload of private client matters, including:
Drafting and managing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
Handling Probate matters and Applications for Grant
Assisting with Deputyship applications
Acting as the first point of contact for new client enquiries
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive secretarial support to a senior fee earner
Manage client communications with empathy and professionalism
Audio typing of legal documents and correspondence
Maintain accurate records and case files
Liaise with clients, courts, and other professionals
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in Private Client work is highly desirable
Strong audio typing skills
Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion and care
Organised, efficient, and able to work independently
