Role Purpose



We are looking for a proactive and organised Secretary to provide high-quality administrative and typing support within our Private Client Department. Working closely with Fee Earners, you will ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations while helping to maintain the exceptional service standards our clients expect. This is a key role for someone who thrives in a professional environment, enjoys varied work, and takes pride in accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:



Typing & Administrative Support



Produce accurate and timely typing for Fee Earners, including letters, memorandums, forms, legal documents, statements, accounts, and data amendments. Complete all associated administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and preparing documents as required. Locate archived files, update records, and maintain accurate tracking of file movements. Keep the computerised diary up to date, including appointments, key dates, and critical reminders. Assist with general administrative duties connected to the functioning of the department. Support company-wide initiatives and contribute to planning and service improvements through staff meetings and consultations. Help maintain high service standards to encourage client retention and referrals.

General Office Duties



Handle incoming telephone calls professionally, assisting callers and taking clear, accurate messages for Fee Earners. Arrange appointments and manage Fee Earner schedules where required. Act as a witness for document signings when necessary. Attend marketing and networking events as directed.

Compliance & Training



Be fully familiar with and adhere to all firm policies, including those issued by the Directors. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements as outlined in the firm's Health & Safety Policy. Follow all procedures detailed in the Practice Manual and Staff Handbook. Undertake training and development as required and respond positively to opportunities for growth. Comply with any additional instructions issued by the Directors, including duties that may fall outside the initial scope of this job description.

Pay: 23,200.00-24,000.00 per year
