The Role
You will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the department while delivering a high standard of client care.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
Typing letters, legal documents, and correspondence
Preparing wills, probate and trust paperwork
Managing diaries, appointments, and meetings
Being a welcoming point of contact for clients, both in person and over the phone
Opening and maintaining client files and handling general administration
Helping with billing, time recording, and file organisation
Liaising with clients and third parties in a professional and approachable way
Maintaining files to the Lexcel standard
Skills and Experience
Previous experience as a legal secretary or in a similar legal support role (Private Client experience is a plus)
Good IT skills and confident typing ability
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to help
A caring, professional approach when dealing with clients
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
