Judge Law is a respected firm based in the heart of Windsor, and we are looking for an experienced and highly organised Legal Secretary to join our dedicated team.
This is a key, dual-support role providing comprehensive assistance to our busy Family Law and Residential Conveyancing departments and working very closely with the firm's Managing Partner. The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional with proven experience in both of these practice areas, capable of managing a varied workload with exceptional attention to detail.
This is a full-time,
office-based role
at our Windsor office, integral to maintaining our high standards of client service.
Key Responsibilities
Providing full secretarial and administrative support to fee earners in both the Family and Conveyancing teams.
Managing copy typing for all correspondence, legal documents, and forms.
Handling client enquiries via telephone and email with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
Proactive diary management, scheduling client meetings, and coordinating key dates (e.g., court dates, completions). There will be
Family Law:
Assisting with the preparation of court bundles, Form E, and other relevant family court documentation.
Conveyancing:
Assisting with Land Registry searches, preparing completion statements, and submitting SDLT forms online.
Opening, maintaining, and closing client files in line with our compliance procedures.
Assisting with billing and preparing invoices.
This role will include time spent as follows: 90% Legal Secretary for Family and Conveyancing departments, with a small requirement to provide PA support to the Managing Partner.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Proven experience as a Legal Secretary.
Essential:
Demonstrable experience working within
both
a Family Law and a Residential Conveyancing department.
Excellent audio/digital dictation skills with a fast and accurate typing speed.
Strong IT proficiency, particularly with the full Microsoft Office suite and case management software.
Familiarity with legal case management systems, preferably Clio.
Exceptional organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
A high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
A professional, empathetic, and discreet manner when handling sensitive client information.
A confident and clear communicator, both written and verbal.
