We are currently seeking a highly organised and details-oriented Legal Secretary/PA to join our team to further support the children & domestic abuse team.
The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and secretarial support to our legal professionals and ensure the smooth operation of daily operations including reception duties, administration and general case management.
Experience within family law/legal aid or equivalent environment is preferred but not essential.
The successful candidate will: -
have experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role
be highly organised and systematic in your approach with the ability to prioritise and use your own initiative.

be able to multitask and prioritise workload effectively.
have a professional demeanour and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
display confidence in using various ICT systems.
Responsibilities include but do not exhaust: -
Provide comprehensive administrative support to lawyers, including diary and key date management for appointment and hearing scheduling and court deadlines and extensive time recording.
Preparing and formatting legal documents, including correspondence and court forms/portal both electronically and in a physical format
Manage legal aid application processes including legal aid applications
Organise and maintain legal documents, both electronically and in a physical format
Liaise with clients, court officials, barristers and third parties in a professional and confidential manner
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, taking accurate information from clients and others, including phone calls and emails whilst ensuring prompt, accurate and professional communication.
Maintain confidential client information and adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines.
Assist with case management, booking and briefing barristers, client billing and payment processes.
