70-80 per hour
Sellick Partnership are delighted to be recruiting for a Legal Services Manager and Principal Contracts Lawyer for a local authority in the East Midlands. The role will be until atleast March 2026, but with a strong likelihood of extension.
The Legal Services Manager and Principal contracts lawyer post will involve:

Supervision and day to day management of the legal team
Providing case management support on complex cases
Assisting the monitoring officer and DMO with member related issues
Attending meetings of Committees, sub-Committees and other meetings as required, including where appropriate in connection with disciplinary and grievance matters
Negotiating agreements and contracts on behalf of the authority and contribute to the resolution of other strategic issues working with members and officers at all levels
Holding a caseload of complex commercial contracts cases

This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with either previous management experience or someone looking to develop their skills further within a small and friendly local authority. Experience working within the public sector is desirable.
This is a hybrid working role with office attendance required once a week.
