Advanced Delivery - Legal, Perth and overview of role
A&O Shearman's Advanced Delivery Legal (ADL), Perth is now accepting applications for the 2026 intake of Legal Support Professionals to commence in February / March 2026.
The ADL plays a key role in the project management of a matter through the use of the latest legal technology tools that results in a more advanced approach to the provision of legal advice and services. The team comprises of Legal Support Professionals and Junior Associates who are given world class ongoing professional development, legal career pathways and training opportunities, supported and supervised by highly experienced Managing and Senior Associates.
This is a permanent role, ideal for recent law graduates who are passionate about building a long-term career in the legal industry. It offers hands-on legal work, structured development, and a clear, supported pathway toward qualification as a practising lawyer within A&O Shearman. As a Legal Support Professional, you would operate as a generalist across a wide range of A&O Shearman practice areas throughout the world including: International Capital Markets, Corporate, Disputes, Banking, and Intellectual Property. The work you undertake could involve a wide range of projects in multiple jurisdictions. On a typical day, you could be reviewing disclosure in litigation proceedings for the Luxembourg office, preparing documents for a banking syndicate under instruction from associates in Hong Kong, as well as performing due diligence reviews on high profile matters for our London office.
Training
Upon commencement at A&O Shearman you will be provided with an extensive induction training program and on-going learning and development. This includes our world class university of law training module which will run for six weeks upon commencement provided by A&O Shearman. This will help equip you with the skills and knowledge to work across our jurisdictions.
Role and Responsibilities

  • Due diligence exercises (primarily extracting information)
  • Becoming proficient in Litigation e-Discovery platforms
  • Preparing bank syndicate lending documentation
  • Company searches and corporate reviews
  • Joining product group-specific teams, e.g. company incorporations and ICM checklists
  • Conducting document review for litigation/arbitration proceedings or regulatory/internal investigations
  • Working with Legal Technology generally - testing/trialling tools and pipeline technology
  • Legal research
Key Requirements
  • Completed law degree or close to completion and available to work full time from February 2026
  • Complete a six-week business law training module and passing the related exam upon commencement (provided by A&O Shearman)
  • A professional manner with high levels of commercial awareness, analytical skills and critical thinking
  • Details-focused and self-motivated
  • Team player with appropriate interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
