About The Role




We're looking for someone organised, proactive and keen to get stuck in to help make sure our Leisure and Culture contract is running at its best. As our Leisure and Culture Support Officer, you'll be working closely with the Leisure and Culture Manager to support contract management, monitor performance, and help deliver projects that benefit our communities.

You'll also work with other teams across the council i.e. Community Wellbeing, Communications and Accounts as well as paying regular visits to the Leisure Centres and the Corinium Museum. This role is a great chance to build relationships and take on a role full of variety. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow their experience, with plenty of opportunities to learn. This role is on a 2 year fixed term contract.

Some of your responsibilities:
Assist in planning, coordinating, and delivering leisure and cultural programs. Provide essential administrative support, including report preparation, managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining accurate records. Collate data and prepare regular performance reports.

You will need



Experience in leisure and/or culture services, some understanding of how contracts and service delivery work in these areas is desirable. Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple tasks, keep things on track, and support smooth day-to-day operations. Good communication skills, confident writing emails, reports, and working with different teams and external partners. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook, for managing documents, data and correspondence. Willingness to learn and develop, open to growing in the role and building knowledge of council services and processes.

Special Conditions


Driving license and access to a car that can be used for work purposes You will be expected to work reasonable additional hours in line with the needs of the service. There may be a requirement to work at other locations to meet the needs of the business
