Job Description
To provide exceptional service to all leisure club members and guests, ensuring the gym and leisure facilities are clean, safe, welcoming, and run smoothly. You will support the day-to-day operation of the gym, assist with health and safety procedures, and deliver a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor the gym area, ensuring member safety and appropriate use of equipment. Provide inductions, fitness guidance, and basic exercise support to members. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all gym and leisure areas, including equipment sanitisation. Set up and take down gym equipment as required. Monitor poolside or wet areas if required (depending on qualifications). Ensure health & safety standards are met, including completing relevant checks and records. Deal promptly with customer enquiries, feedback, and minor complaints in a professional manner. Report any faults, accidents, or incidents to the manager immediately. Support the leisure team in other duties, including reception cover, class support, or club events.
Essential Requirements:
Enthusiastic, approachable, and customer-focused attitude. Basic understanding of fitness equipment and safe gym use. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks (e.g. moving gym equipment).
Desirable Qualifications:
Level 2 Gym Instructor First Aid at Work (or willingness to train) Pool Lifeguard qualification (if working across wet areas) Previous experience in a fitness or leisure environment
Pay: 12.21-12.75 per hour
Work Location: In person
Expected start date: 18/07/2025
