3 x Oakengates Leisure Centre
2 x Abraham Darby Sports and Leisure Centre
1 x Wellington Civic and Leisure centre
1 X Newport Swimming and Fitness Centre
37 Hours a week
We are currently seeking motivated and suitably skilled individuals to join the Leisure services team at various sites in the role of Leisure and Fitness Assistants at Oakengates Leisure Centre, Abraham Darby Sport and Leisure Centre, Wellington Civic and Leisure Centre and Newport Swimming and Fitness Centre.
The successful candidates will work across a rota pattern that includes evenings and weekend working and will be responsible for lifeguarding the swimming pool, ensuring the high standards of cleanliness and house keeping of the centres is maintained at all times. They will be responsible for delivering gym inductions and supervision and cleanliness of the health and fitness facilities and support Leisure Learn to swim programme (Swim 4 Life) through having or gaining a level swim teachers qualification (Swim England).
A National Pool lifeguard qualification (or ability to achieve in 6 months) and a Level 2 Health and Fitness certificate (or ability to achieve in 6 months) and a level 1 swim teaching qualification (or ability to achieve in 6 months) are essential requirements of the role.
