Position Title: Software Engineer Level: I-II



Reports to: Software Engineering Manager





Position Summary: We are seeking a medical device software engineer who designs, develops, tests, and maintains software for medical devices, ensuring it meets technical requirements and strict regulatory standards, such as those set by the FDA and IEC 62304, to ensure patient safety and device reliability. Key responsibilities include writing code in languages such as C++ or Python, creating software architecture, executing rigorous testing and validation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and documenting software processes for regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities:

Develop requirements, design specifications, and implementation for service tools used with complex medical devices Work directly with the service organization to gather use cases and requirements Development of desktop and web-based software Follow QMS procedures, write supporting documentation, utilize revision control, and CI best practices Support configuration management and build system




Relevant Knowledge and Skill requirements:


3+ years of experience developing with Python Experience with web-based client/server applications S. in Computer Science or equivalent Experience with Linux and bash Understanding of network communications and TCP protocols Experience with Qt, C++, and medical device regulations is a plus

Current Radiation Therapy is delivered with a patient lying supine on a table while a large machine is rotated around them, delivering radiation from different angles to kill the tumour. Lying on a table, many patients report that they feel like a passenger in their treatment, feeling vulnerable throughout the entire process.
