About the role:
We are looking for a part time Lettings & Administration Specialist to join our Neighbourhoods team for 6 months. This role is home-based. There is no daily requirement to attend an office the flexibility to attend our Head Office in Didsbury as and when required for training, meetings and team office days. The role is for 17.5 hours over Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The purpose of the role is to deal let our homes in the Greater Manchester area, using our lettings process and to support the Neighbourhoods team with administration. Interviews will be held week commencing 22nd of September.
Responsibilities include:
letting our homes, shortlisting applicants using local authority waiting lists, dealing with nominations from local councils, ensuring nomination targets are met and building strong relationships with local authority partners and choice based letting providers. Responding to lettings and housing options enquiries and providing housing advice to potential clients. Provide support to high need applicants, including making referrals where appropriate to initiatives such as Home + and flagging support needs.
Checking affordability assessments to confirm the property the customer has applied for is affordable for them and ensuring that they have provided correct documentation, including Right to Rent paperwork.
Ensuring that applicants are entitled to the correct property and that the information in their application is correct. Advertising properties correctly for local housing registers or systems such as Right Move. Ensuring accurate tenancy agreements and welcome packs are produced. Ensuring new and prospective customers receive an excellent customer service experience during the lettings process
General Administration
Perform general administrative duties to support the work of the Neighbourhoods team.
Process Subject Access Requests when required.
May be required to assist with office reception cover.
The successful candidate will have:
Experience of delivering customer service
Experience of partnership working
Experience of working as part of a team
IT skills - Microsoft office to Intermediate level
Experience of following set policies and processes
Essential:
Experience in working in Lettings, preferably within a housing association or Local Authority
