We've been established over 35 years and now have around 80 holiday homes mainly based in the Seven Bays area of North Cornwall. Raintree manage everything for our owners and guests from marketing and bookings to maintenance for the majority of our houses and pride ourselves on the personal service we offer.
Raintree House Holidays Ltd is an established holiday house rental and management business currently looking for a competent and friendly Lettings Administrator to work within our Enquiries team at our small, sociable office near Padstow, North Cornwall.
We are a young and motivated team in a very prestigious and beautiful part of North Cornwall aiming for continued growth over the next 5 years. We are located in a rural setting at Porthcothan in North Cornwall, in purpose-built offices situated right on the headland - ideal for coastal lunchtime walks.
Main purpose of job
To primarily work with the enquiries team to answer all incoming booking enquiries and payments via email and phone, as well as undertaking weekly routine admin tasks.
Ideally, you would also have some interest and experience in creating marketing content, such as social media posts and website blogs.
This is a full time (up to 40 hours per week role), but part time could be considered for the right candidate. Office hours are between 8.30am and 5.30pm, with the potential for some flexibility. Weekend working will be required, currently on a one in three rota, but in the future may require working 5 days out of 7, including weekends.
This is primarily an office based role, but there is flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week.
Main duties
Work with the enquiries team to:
Answer bookings and enquiry emails, ensuring accuracy and that communication is in line with company brand and values.
Answering incoming calls; dealing with enquiries relevant calls, taking messages and re-directing as needed.
Talk with guests about properties, taking details about their requirements and assist in finding suitable accommodation.
Process payments; bank receipts, cheques, online payments, payments by phone and send relevant communications to guests.
Record guest information accurately on our internal booking system.
Produce weekly changeover reports for caretakers.
Update and maintain third party booking websites as needed.
Remain up-to-date on the current state of houses - their good sides and their bad - and to try to represent accurately and positively to enquirers.
Assist our marketing plan with occasional content creation.
Person specification
Highly organised and proactive person with a passion for outstanding customer service both digitally and over the phone.
Confidently able to use digital technology; ie, bespoke software systems, Google Drive, and the internet.
Happy to work in a small and sociable team when in the office as well as when working remotely.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Have a genuine appreciation and knowledge of the local area. Previous hospitality/tourism experience would be a bonus.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
An interest in social media or experience of using it in a professional environment is desirable.
Full, clean UK driving licence.
Eligible to work in the UK with at least GCSE (or equivalent) grade C or above in Maths and English OR demonstrable experience.
