The main purpose of this role is to effectively manage client properties ensuring the property is let providing first class customer service whilst ensuring compliance with legislation and our terms of business.
Main responsibilities and duties
The role will involve but is not restricted to:
Regular property inspections.
Visiting the property with prospective tenants
Ensuring regular maintenance checks by visiting the property
Liaise with landlords and tenants and others as required. This will include telephone calls, emails, and personal visits.
Ensuring that all appropriate people are kept fully informed and records kept and maintained
Liaise with accounts department as required.
To work and operate within the ARLA Regulations.
Facilitate tenant move ins, including drawing up new tenancy agreements.
Key Management.
Interim utility bill management.
Chasing any rent arrears that occur
Managing and drawing up renewal tenancy agreements for the managed portfolio.
Processing invoices for payment by the Accounts Department.
Knowledge and Skills
We are looking for an individual who ideally has some experience in the property industry but this is not essential. Our ability to give excellent customer service is key, so you will need to be able to demonstrate to us an understanding of giving good customer service. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate the following:

Supervision and Management
You will report directly to the Head of Lettings and be able to work as part of the team.

Key Contacts and Relationships
As part of the role, you are also expected to liaise and work with the staff members in other departments. It is imperative that strong relationships are built and maintained with clients, and contractors which are often best achieved by regular verbal or face to face contact.
Working Environment
Burns Hamilton has a large modern, open-plan office on the top floor, which is where you will be based. In addition to this.
This role is a mixture of desk and site-based work.
