To lead the day-to-day running of the Letting Out service, ensuring high standards in housing management, tenancy sustainment, and landlord relationships. The postholder will manage the team to deliver safe, legally compliant homes while developing clearer systems, improving communication, and embedding good practice. This is a hands-on role that balances operational delivery with continuous service improvement, working closely with other projects across The Bond Board.
Key Objectives
Lead and manage the Letting Out team, supporting staff to deliver a high-quality, responsive service.
Develop and oversee systems and processes that improve the consistency, efficiency, and sustainability of the service.
Maintain and grow positive relationships with landlords and agents to increase access to safe, affordable PRS homes.
Work with the CEO and colleagues across the organisation to integrate Letting Out with other projects and strategic goals.
Promote a culture of continuous learning, service improvement, and accountability.
Main Tasks
Team Leadership
Provide regular 1:1 supervision, support, and development for team members.
Oversee team workload, performance, and targets.
Lead on recruitment and induction as needed.
Promote staff wellbeing and inclusion.
Service Delivery & Development
Ensure appropriate processes are in place for tenancy set-up, property standards, repairs, and contract management.
Embed systems for managing rent accounts (e.g. 1090) and clarify team roles in sustaining tenancies.
Work with outgoing staff on a smooth handover and capture learning.
Respond to service issues and develop improvement plans where required.
Landlord Relationships
Build and maintain relationships with landlords, letting agents, and housing providers.
Organise landlord forums, promote incentives, and respond to market challenges.
Handle escalated landlord issues and ensure consistency in communications.
Service Integration & Promotion
Act as the main link between Letting Out and other Bond Board services.
Represent, Letting Out at strategic forums and events.
Support marketing and communications, including social media content.
Deliver presentations or workshops to landlords and community groups
Build and maintain partnerships with key local authorities and other local support providers
General Duties
Ensure compliance with The Bond Board's policies including safeguarding, GDPR, health and safety, and equality and diversity.
Maintain accurate records and case notes.
Provide reports and updates to the CEO and Board as requested.
Attend management and team meetings.
Additional Duties
It is the nature of the work at the Bond Board that tasks and responsibilities are, in many circumstances, varied. All staff are therefore expected to work in a flexible way and when the occasion arises that tasks not covered in this job description have to be undertaken.
