Onsite Role: Alan Bray Close, Dodwells Bridge Industrial Estate, Hinckley, Leicestershire, LE10 3BP

ROLE

We are currently looking for a trainee Radiographer. Working as part of the Production Team and reporting to the Production Operation Leader at Sigma's Hinckley site, you will be responsible for processing aircraft components through x-ray to detect any sub-surface defects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Set up and operate machinery as appropriate, ensuring equipment and tooling is calibrated before use.
Ensure batch cards are stamped.

Support other NDT requirements and demands when necessary

Ensure all customer quality standards are achieved and timescales are met. Contribute to continuous improvement and process enhancement, demonstrating a proactive attitude within your team at all times. Be flexible in supporting other roles within the business Maintain 5S requirements, health and safety standards both personally and for colleagues and visitors as appropriate. Support audits and uphold the professional reputation of Sigma throughout your scope of responsibility

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Strong attention to detail
Understanding of health & safety issues

Knowledge of Lean Principles (desirable as training will be provided)

A background in Aerospace desirable

Able to work on own initiative and confident

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

HOURS & BENEFITS
