The Electrical & Electronic workshop is looking for a dynamic multi-skilled technician to assist with our activities in supporting a wide range of clients within the faculty. The role will involve varied tasks in the electrical, electronic & mechanical domains, and contact with under-graduates, research and faculty staff.
What will you be doing?
---------------------------
Build equipment both electrically and mechanically for the electrical workshop from drawings, concepts or instruction in line with the relevant legislation and University Procedures.
Install equipment both electrically and mechanically for the electrical workshop in line with the relevant legislation and University Procedures.
Operating, servicing, maintenance and calibration of workshop equipment including soldering irons, hand and power tools, multimeters, PAT testers and specialist equipment.
Diagnose and rectify basic electrical / electronic problems to find short and long-term solutions.
