This is an entry-level apprenticeship role designed to provide practical experience in finance and accounting while studying towards the Level 2 Accounts/Finance Assistant qualification.
The apprentice will work under the supervision of a qualified or experienced member of our team.
The apprenticeship will last a minimum of 12 months, in line with UK apprenticeship requirements.
DUTIES
Key Responsibilities
Process financial transactions including purchase and sales invoices
Assist with bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance
Support payroll and expense processing
Maintain accurate records and filing systems
Respond to internal and external finance queries professionally
Use accounting software and Microsoft Office tools
Assist with month-end and year-end tasks as required
Skills & Attributes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Basic IT skills (Excel, Word)
Ability to work as part of a team
Willingness to learn and develop
Ability to follow guidance and work to deadlines.
Entry Requirements
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above preferred)
No prior finance experience required - full training provided
Support will be provided for functional skills in Maths and English where required, in accordance with apprenticeship rules.
Training
Level 2 Accounts/Finance Assistant Apprenticeship (AAT or equivalent)
20% off-the-job training (this includes dedicated study time during normal working hours, equivalent to one day per week).

PROGRESSION
Upon succesfull completion of the level 2 accounts/finance apprenticeship you will have achieved a national qualification which is recognised through the industry and there may be the opportunity to progress the the level 3 qualification.
