We are a small private Day Nursery caring for up to 24 children each day and are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team of 8. We are build within the grounds of a family home and located close to Camberley Town Centre, we open 8-6pm Monday to Thursday. The role is ideally for these hours on these days but would consider part time positions for the right person. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality childcare. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, supporting their development and learning through engaging activities and effective communication.
Duties
Provide attentive care and supervision to children in the nursery setting.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's individual needs.
Monitor children's progress and development, keeping accurate records and reporting any concerns to senior staff.
Collaborate with other practitioners to create an inclusive environment that supports all children's learning.
Lead small groups of children in various activities, demonstrating leadership skills while managing behaviour effectively.
Requirements
Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare - minimum Level 2.
Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
