About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Roofing Assessor to join our growing team on a self-employed basis. This role involves assessing the skills, knowledge, and competence of roofing professionals working towards their NVQ qualifications. You will carry out on-site assessments, provide constructive feedback, and ensure all evidence meets awarding body standards.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct workplace assessments for roofing NVQs (at Level 2/3 or equivalent). Observe, question, and record evidence of learners' competence. Support candidates in compiling their portfolios of evidence. Ensure assessments are fair, consistent, and in line with awarding body requirements. Provide regular feedback to learners to support progression. Complete all required documentation and reports accurately and on time. Keep up to date with industry standards, health & safety, and qualification requirements.
Requirements

Recognised Assessor Award (A1, D32/33, CAVA or equivalent) - or willing to work towards. Roofing trade background with proven industry experience. Strong knowledge of current roofing techniques, materials, and H&S regulations. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and manage own diary. Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
