Job Description
Role Overview
As an Apprentice Pharmacy Services Assistant, you will work under the supervision of qualified pharmacy staff to support safe and effective pharmacy services. Training will be provided as part of the Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant apprenticeship programme.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting in the dispensing and preparation of medicines
Managing stock, ordering, rotation and expiry checks
Handling prescriptions and pharmacy IT systems
Providing excellent customer and patient service
Supporting over-the-counter sales within pharmacy guidelines
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
Working closely with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
Training & Development
This apprenticeship includes:
On-the-job training in the pharmacy
Off-the-job structured learning with an approved training provider
GCSE maths and English require
End Point Assessment upon completion
