Tuesday- 3:45pm -6:45pm (alternative venue - @ Waterhouses Primary School)

Wednesday - 2:30pm - 6:30pm

Thursday- 10:00am - 6:00pm (1.5hours break)

Sunday- 8:30pm - 2:00pm

This job is term time only, working approximately 39 weeks of the year, but you will be paid an even salary all year through. We have all half term breaks off, including the entire summer holidays, 2 weeks at Easter and at Christmas.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our small team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and a strong understanding of swimming techniques. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for educating individuals of all ages in swimming skills, ensuring their safety, and fostering a love for water activities. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students of all ages to enjoy our swimming adventure.

Duties

Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups, tailoring instruction to meet the needs of each student. Educate students on water safety, swimming techniques, and personal fitness. Develop lesson plans that are engaging and effective in teaching various swimming skills. Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve on a term by term basis. (3 times per year). Maintain a safe and clean environment in and around the pool area. Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress and any concerns. Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the overall programme offered at the facility.

Qualifications

Must hold a Level 2 swimming instructor qualification. Baby and pre school qualification is preferred. Lifeguard or teacher rescue award is preferred. Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching swimming is preferred. Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety practices. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with students of all ages. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required. Certification in CPR and First Aid is an advantage. A passion for educating others and promoting a healthy lifestyle through aquatic activities. Pay: 16.00-17.50 per hour
