The role

Required ASAP, the Governors of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, dedicated and caring Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our happy and hardworking team.


The successful candidate will be working in a 1:1 role or with small groups supporting children with medical and specific SEND needs, under the direction/instruction of the class teacher.


Duties will involve managing medical needs and delivering learning programmes tailored to the child's individual needs, ensuring full inclusion and integration into the class and the activities undertaken.


This is a 32.5 hour per week post, working 39 weeks per year.

We are looking for someone who:



Will fully support and promote the Catholic ethos of our school Has a nurturing, enthusiastic manner with excellent communication skills Is positive, calm, and committed to helping children achieve their best Demonstrates effective behaviour management and a caring approach Works well as part of a collaborative and flexible team Holds a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) Preferably has experience supporting children with SEND Uses initiative while also responding well to direction from the class teacher Brings a good sense of humour and a positive attitude to school life
