Job Overview:

Following our recent expansion and move into a brand new, purpose built setting, we are seeking further passionate and dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 Qualified Nursery School Practitioners to join our vibrant and supportive nursery team. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education for young children, supporting their development through both structured and spontaneous activities. You will create a nurturing and engaging learning environment where children can thrive, develop, and have fun.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high standards of physical, emotional, and social care to all children in the nursery. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and reports. Work in partnership with parents and carers, maintaining effective communication and offering advice and support where necessary. Help create a safe and stimulating environment, ensuring that the nursery is clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. Promote positive behavior and support children's emotional well-being. Work collaboratively with other staff members, sharing ideas and supporting one another. Adhere to safeguarding and health & safety policies and procedures at all times.

Key Requirements:

Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent). A genuine passion for working with young children and a strong understanding of child development. Experience working in an early years setting, preferably within a nursery environment. Excellent communication skills, both with children and adults. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required. Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures. A positive, proactive, and caring approach to children's well-being and development.

Additional Information:

Salary

: Starts from 13.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Hours

: Minimum 4 days per week, with a standard 9-hour shift, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Longevity Bonuses

: 200 bonus after 2 years of service, and 500 bonus after 5 years of service.
