As part of our nursery team, the apprentice will help to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. They will work alongside experienced practitioners to plan and deliver age-appropriate activities, observe and record children's development, and build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
This role offers valuable hands-on experience and professional development opportunities, supporting the apprentice in gaining the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to become a qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner.
Duties
Assist in providing high-quality care, play, and learning opportunities for children aged 0-5 years, in line with the
EYFS framework
.
Support the planning, preparation, and delivery of stimulating and age-appropriate activities.
Help to create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment that promotes children's well-being and development.
Observe, record, and reflect on children's progress and share information with the team and parents where appropriate.
Support children's personal, social, and emotional development, encouraging independence and confidence.
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality procedures at all times.
Assist with the daily routines of the nursery, including mealtimes, nappy changing, toileting, and tidying up.
Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of the
Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship programme
.
Show enthusiasm for learning and developing professional skills within the childcare sector.
