Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team. To work well as part of a team, that provides quality care and education to all children. Ensure safety, health, wellbeing and happiness, by providing a safe, secure, stimulating, rich environment. We recognise that our staff are our most valuable asset in ensuring that each child is a unique & happy child.
We are in the heart of a local community & run a 50 space, not for profit nursery.
What our children would like:
A person who: is a dancer, is bouncy, like a princess, likes/can be a dinosaurs, a noisy person who likes cars, a person who can be lots of humongous animals & a big mouse & someone who will pretend to be a dog. A happy person because this is a happy nursery:-)
What our staff find useful:
To be able to sing a sentence (...shall we tidy up now)To be a detective & know every item that belongs to every child & know where it is.
To not be squeamish. (there will be bugs & there will be snot)
To be quick on your feet.
To make food fun, to encourage healthy eating, ie a pea could be a tiny dinosaur egg
To have 8 arms & be an octopus. (two fast ones would be acceptable)
To have an amazing memory & can remember everything that has happened during the day
Enjoy getting messy ie playing with beans, jelly & mashed potato together & not going home as clean as you arrived (vital)
Make tidying up fun, every single time!
Love going outside in all weathers (bring your wellies)
Be a nurse, then cuddler, then doctor, then giraffe & cleaner within 5 minutes
Know/learn every version of child language.
Have never ending patience.
A great creative flair to make display boards come to life
