We are seeking a motivated Business Administration Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in office management and administrative functions within a professional environment. The successful candidate will support various organisational tasks, develop essential skills, and contribute to the smooth operation of our business processes. Prior office experience is advantageous, but a keen willingness to learn and strong organisational skills are essential for success in this role.
You'll be based at home but will attend regular meetings and small events in

, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential. A full driving licence and access to a car would be an advantage to support independent travel or good public transport links to ensure you can travel to any training and team days.
35 Hours per week
Monday to Friday working pattern 9-5 generally with some options for flexibility to be discussed and agreed with your manager
20 days annual leave plus statutory holidays
Responsibilities
Assist with general administrative duties including data entry, filing, and document management
Support the team with scheduling appointments and managing calendars
Handle incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and direct enquiries appropriately
Utilise Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace for daily tasks - strong IT skills to learn and manage other software tools quickly
Maintain accurate records using QuickBooks and other accounting software as required
Perform clerical tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and organising paperwork
Contribute to organising meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes when necessary
Support the team with various projects to enhance organisational efficiency
Experience
Office experience or administrative experience is preferred but not essential; a strong willingness to learn is vital
Advanced IT skills, including confident use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google workspace tools and online collaboration tools (e.g. Teams/Zoom, shared drives, online forms)
Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills with professional phone etiquette
Excellent writing skillsare essential for this role
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
Ability to work independently from home while being part of a supportive remote team in a fast-paced environment
A driver with access to a car is desirable, but not required, to support travel to meetings and events in Newcastle upon Tyne
