Overview

Chaperon is hired to recruit Level 3 childcare Nursery Practitioners for a Nursery near to City Centre of Birmingham.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of children in our care. The Nursery Practitioner will play a key role in supporting children's learning through play, ensuring their safety, and fostering positive relationships with both children and parents.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their individual learning journeys. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's development and addressing any concerns. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive team environment, demonstrating strong leadership and management skills. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and nursery policies, including health and safety standards. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

Requirements

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Demonstrated management and leadership abilities to guide junior staff members when necessary. A genuine passion for childcare, with the ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for children. Driving licence preferred to facilitate travel between locations if required.
