The commercial catering apprenticeship trains individuals to work in engineering and technical roles, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment like ovens, fryers, and dishwashers.
It combines on-the-job training with college-based learning, covering skills such as electrical and gas systems, fault diagnosis, safety standards, and customer service.
The apprentice will be enrolled onto the Level 3 Commercial Catering course at Nescot College with learning taking place once a week for 30 months.
There will be no course costs to the apprentice and the apprentice will be paid for their contracted working and learning hours.
