We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curricula that promote the holistic development of children from infancy through preschool age. The Early Years Educator will work closely with families to support each child's growth and learning journey.
Duties
Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that align with educational standards and promote early childhood development.
Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Provide individualized support for children, including those with special needs or requiring early intervention.
Foster literacy education through storytelling, reading activities, and language development exercises.
Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing positive reinforcement strategies to encourage good conduct.
Plan and conduct lessons in various subjects including math, literacy, and physical education.
Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns related to child welfare.
Collaborate with other educators to enhance the educational experience through shared resources and strategies.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Skills
Strong background in curriculum development tailored for early childhood settings.
Experience working with children in various capacities such as daycare, preschool, or private school environments.
Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
Proficient in lesson planning that incorporates diverse teaching methods including Montessori approaches.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
Familiarity with standardized testing procedures as applicable to early childhood education.
Ability to provide tutoring support in literacy and math as needed.
Experience in teaching physical education activities suitable for young learners.
Understanding of child welfare practices to ensure a safe learning environment.
