?At Coalway Early Years we are seeking a Level 2/ Level 3 Early Years Educator to join our team for 15-20 hrs per week. Hours and days to be discussed at interview. This position will be a fixed term contract from September 2025 to July 2026.

?Our Forest of Dean nursery/ preschool is set within the grounds of an Infant/ Junior school and provides high quality childcare and support for children and families in the Coalway and Coleford area.

?This term time only position working contracts will be for 38 weeks per year and follow the half terms of the Gloucestershire County Council

?The successful candidate must be motivated, creative and enthusiastic with an excellent understanding of the EYFS and a clear knowledge of Safeguarding. It is desirable for applicants to have certificates in Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding however, please note that training can also be provided. You will need experience of working at Level 2/ Level 3 in Early Years.

This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references. Coalway Early years is committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all children in line with Policies and statutory responsibilities as set out by government guidance and OFSTED.

Responsibilities



Provide high-quality care and education to children in a nursery setting, fostering their development through engaging activities. Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, updating them on children's progress and well-being. Implement early childhood education programs and activities that promote learning and social skills. Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance, utilizing IT tools as necessary.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
