We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones through engaging activities and personalised care. Prior experience with children and nursery environments is highly desirable, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood curricula.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children under your care at all times.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and professional conduct.
Support children's social, emotional, and behavioural development through personalised care strategies.
Manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play sessions.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and behavioural observations.
Uphold compliance with all safeguarding policies, health & safety regulations, and childcare standards.
Contribute to the organisation's continuous improvement initiatives by sharing ideas and feedback.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting.
Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages.
Management or leadership experience within a childcare environment is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to organise activities efficiently whilst maintaining flexibility to adapt to children's needs.
Relevant childcare qualifications such as Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education or equivalent is essential. Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable but not essential. This can be discussed at interview.
