Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of children in our care. You will play a crucial role in supporting children's learning through play, fostering their social and emotional skills, and ensuring their safety at all times.

Duties

Plan and implement engaging educational activities that cater to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's needs. Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive learning experience for all children. Manage classroom behaviour positively, promoting respect and cooperation among children. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in early childhood education.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for nurturing children's development through play-based learning. As part of our safeguarding policy, an Enhanced DBS will be required. We are a term time only pre-school and the role would be for up to 5 days. Some evening meetings will be required throughout the year.

Pay: From 12.81 per hour
