We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our team. You will support the delivery of high-quality early years provision, working in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and our setting's ethos. You will contribute to planning, observations, supporting children's learning and development, and building strong partnerships with families.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
Foster a welcoming environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and confidence among children.
Monitor and assess each child's progress, maintaining accurate records of development milestones.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily routines, special events, and outings.
Manage behaviour positively, promoting good manners and respect among children.
Support the management team in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and policies.
Qualifications
Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualification (or equivalent)
Experience working with children under 5 in an early years setting
Strong understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and how to apply it in practice
Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety requirements
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with children, families and colleagues
A proactive, positive, and flexible attitude, with a genuine passion for early years and for nurturing children's development
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and paediatric first aid training (or willingness to complete)
Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff and organise activities effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and enthusiasm when engaging with young children.
