The Role:

This opportunity is for an Instrumentation Engineer to join our technical team. You would work within the Instrumentation team primarily supporting delivery of maritime-based projects in QinetiQ's facilities. This will include installing instrumentation into large-scale model boats and submarines, developing new/novel instrumentation systems to capture trial's data and other associated activities.

Day-to-day, you will:

Provide instrumentation support to the Haslar's facilities and other facilities used by the team through leading instrumentation tasks and activities



Support technical assurance activities for work undertaken by the instrumentation team for production and facilities



Support the maintenance of electrical + electronic equipment



Deliver the strategy for developing and maintaining the instrumentation and software used within the model testing capability



Liaise with other parts of the delivery team to ensure the timely delivery of instrumentation support for trials



Manage and deliver the design, build and testing of bespoke instrumentation equipment

Apprenticeship:

You must have obtained or be predicted 5 x GCSE's Grade's 5 - 9 must include Maths, Science and 3 other subjects
