We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while supporting children's developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. The Nursery Nurse will play a vital part in fostering positive learning experiences and ensuring the well-being of every child in our care.
Responsibilities
Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development
Support children's individual needs through personalised care plans
Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
Lead by example in demonstrating good behaviour, management, and leadership skills within the nursery setting
Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff or interns as required
Ensure compliance with all childcare legislation, policies, and procedures
Drive nursery vehicles for outings or transportation needs when necessary
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
Strong management and leadership capabilities to oversee daily operations effectively
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are desirable
Valid driving licence with clean driving record preferred
Ability to organise activities that are engaging, educational, and suitable for various age groups
Compassionate nature with a genuine passion for supporting children's growth and development
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.50-13.10 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
Henley-On-Thames RG9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
L3 Childcare qualification (preferred)
