We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for working with children, demonstrating excellent management and leadership skills. Duties
Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in your care
Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
Support children's emotional and social development by fostering positive interactions and behaviour management
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
Manage daily administrative tasks related to nursery operations
Lead by example in maintaining high standards of hygiene, organisation, and professionalism within the nursery environment
Occasionally assist with transportation of children via driving when required
Experience
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting
Demonstrated management and leadership abilities in supervising staff or volunteers
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Experience with childcare practices, child development theories, and early childhood education principles
Familiarity with nursery regulations and health & safety standards
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending off-site activities
