We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing educational activities, ensuring the well-being of each child, and fostering positive relationships with parents and colleagues.
Duties
Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Supervise and support children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, communicating effectively with parents about their child's achievements.
Collaborate with colleagues to create a harmonious working environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Assist in managing daily nursery operations, including maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the nursery space.
Promote positive behaviour through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies.
Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Skills
Strong management and leadership abilities to guide a team effectively.
Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles, particularly the EYFS framework.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and enthusiasm when interacting with children.
